This Privacy Policy explains how AI Affirm (“the App”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App and related services (“Services”). This AI transformation policy is written for clarity, not legal filler.

Who we are

AI Affirm is operated by the app publisher listed on the App Store product page.

What we collect

A) Information you provide

  • Account information (if you create an account): first name, last name, email, password (stored as a hashed value, not plain text).

  • Wellness inputs you enter in the App: emotions you select or type, and any optional text you submit in the App (for example, “Other…” inputs).

  • Feedback: ratings you give to affirmations.

B) Information created by using the App

  • Usage data for core features: streak-related timestamps/counts, and emotion history used to show “Top 3” (account mode).

  • Device/app technical data: basic logs needed to run and secure the Services (for example, request timestamps and error logs).

C) Cookies / similar tech (account mode)

  • We use session cookies (or similar) to keep you signed in and protect your account.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide the core loop: emotion check-in → affirmation → rating/next affirmation.

  • Personalize and improve what you see next (for example, using ratings to rank affirmations).

  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug issues.

  • Communicate with you for account-related purposes (for example, password reset) when applicable.

AI-generated affirmations

When you request an AI-generated affirmation, we may send your selected/typed emotion (and limited context needed to generate the response) to an AI service provider to generate text. We do not send your password. Apple expects clear disclosure when sharing data with third-party AI.

When we share information

We may share information with service providers that help us run the Services, such as:

  • Hosting and infrastructure

  • Database storage

  • Email delivery (for account emails like password reset)

  • AI text generation (only when you trigger AI-generated affirmations)

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party protection: any vendor we use must handle data with protections consistent with this policy and applicable law.

Data retention

  • We keep account and app data as long as needed to provide the Services and meet legal/security needs.

  • We keep server/security logs for a limited period for debugging and abuse prevention.

  • If you request deletion, we delete or de-identify data unless retention is required by law or for security purposes.

Your choices

Access / correction

  • You can update certain information in the App (where available) or by contacting us.

Delete your data

  • You can request account deletion and data deletion by contacting us via the Support URL listed on the App Store product page.

  • After deletion, you may lose access to saved history, streaks, and account features.

Withdraw consent

  • You can stop using the App at any time.

  • If a feature requires optional data, you can avoid providing it (for example, don’t use “Other…” text entry).

Guest vs account

  • Guest mode: we store a guest identifier and local app state on your device to support the guest experience.

  • Account mode: we store your account data and related app history on our servers so you can keep your experience across sessions.

Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13. If we learn we collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No system is perfect, so we can’t promise absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Effective date” at the top when we do.
